Hello! My name is Sarah Tedeschi and I am your first grade teacher at Santa Fe Elementary. I am a graduate of Grand Canyon University with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Dance Education. I am currently going for my Master's in Arts and Education. Teaching has always been a passion of mine from a very young age and I have been practicing as long as I can remember. I hope this website is useful in providing a clear picture of my classroom management, in the coming year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Teaching Philosophy
There is a lot of work that goes into creating a classroom that is full of excited and engaged learners. As a first grade teacher, I see the importance of an education that is free of any form of bias and welcome to any form of diversity. I understand that no child is the same, and therefore students will be taught based off of equitably, as it is then helpful for all. My goal is to create an atmosphere free of judgment and fear so that students are not afraid to take a leap and learn from their mistakes. I have also created an effective management plan to help students to grow and maintain positive and cooperative relationships with their peers and their teacher. I hope to build strong and genuine relationships with each parent, family member and guardian, because my ultimate goal is to see each student individually succeed.
